Welcome to this journey around the world and the word of gentleness in 7 days.

Last January, instead of making a resolution, I chose a word to set my intention for the year.
That word was gentleness.

I've carried it in my pocket and held onto it over the following 12 months. It has been an ally
on my shoulder guiding me, a whisper in my ear supporting me and a friend by my side. As
the year unfolded, I discovered that there was more to gentleness than meets the eye.
There is much meaning and depth to it. It has countless facets and fits into all areas of life.
It brings smoothness to sharp angles, softens tensions. It's a strength, a virtue, a value
available for all of us to nurture.

In this course, I invite you to uncover how gentleness presents itself in your life. Following
the three pillars of dare to be the change: AWARE, SELF-CARE and DARE. Aware of the
power and potential of gentleness. Where it can serve and support your self-care. And
finally, dare to experiment by giving space for gentleness in your everyday life.
We will take different viewpoints some might resonate with you straightaway. Others less
so. You can just dip your toes briefly or immerse yourself in the suggested experiences.
Either way, be gentle with yourself and go with the flow.

Aldous Huxley said: “Experience is not what happens to a man, it is what a man does with
what happens to him.”

We learn best through experience and reflecting on the experience. This is why I invite you to capture daily reflections in your notebook: A journal of your journey around the world of gentleness.

See you on day 1
